FROM MAUI TO BROADWAY—
AND BEYOND.
Eric Gilliom is a Maui-born singer, musician, actor, producer and entertainer whose remarkable career has moved effortlessly between music, theater, film, television and comedy.
Born into one of Hawaiʻi’s legendary musical families, Eric grew up surrounded by extraordinary voices and powerful storytelling. That legacy continues through his sister, acclaimed recording artist Amy Hānaialiʻi, and throughout Eric’s own wide-ranging body of work.
Eric’s career has taken him from Maui to Broadway and onto television screens and some of the world’s biggest stages. He appeared on The Jamie Foxx Show and later performed alongside Jamie Foxx on the Grammy Awards. For more than two decades, Eric has also served as lead singer and frontman for Mick Fleetwood’s celebrated Maui band, House of Rumours.
Together with the late, great Willie K, Eric formed the Barefoot Natives, recording and touring with a sound that combined contemporary energy, Hawaiian roots and fearless musicianship. As a solo performer, Eric created the award-winning White Hawaiian, a deeply personal one-man musical blending unforgettable songs, outrageous humor and the remarkable story of his family and life in Hawaiʻi.
Eric is equally accomplished behind the scenes. He produced MELE – The Hawaiian Music Experience, an innovative 360-degree immersive production presented inside the Sphere at Maui Ocean Center. He has also produced The Rocky Horror Show and numerous theatrical productions, concerts and live entertainment experiences. His production work extends into film, having produced and supervised music for six motion pictures while writing, arranging and recording original material for the screen.
Now Eric is bringing another side of himself to the stage—stand-up comedy—combining sharp observations, music, family stories and the unmistakable humor of growing up Hawaiian. Whether fronting a band, standing alone beneath a spotlight, creating an ambitious theatrical production or making an audience laugh, Eric brings the same qualities to everything he does: honesty, heart, world-class musicianship and an undeniable connection with the crowd.
He is more than a performer from Maui. He is a true Hawaiʻi original—and his next act is just beginning.
